Action For Direct Impact Food Through Backyard Project Uganda Training community members about backyard gardening.  The crops and vegetables will be a source of food as well as income through selling surplus harvest, contributing to both food and financial security.
Ventures for Sustainable Community Development Micro Loans to People who have Lost their Jobs During COVID-19 Pandemic Uganda Micro lending project which will provide loans to young business owners impacted by the pandemic.  Loans will be given for two months at a 5% interest rate.  Interest will be used to fund additional loans for other business owners for a sustainable loan program.
Ventures for Sustainable Women Empowerment (VESWE) Making of Washable Reusable Cloth Face Masks Uganda Young women will be taught how to make reusable/washable cloth masks which will then be sold at affordable prices.  The income made from the sale of the masks will be re-invested into the manufacturing of re-usable sanitary pads, aprons and hair covers.  Access to sanitary pads is often a barrier that prevents young women from attending school.
CUPED Corp Project Triage Milwaukee, WI Grant funds will be used to develop a youth led COVID-19 mental health response. The project requires the development of a platform that will provide a peer led support service to address social isolation through a website, app and hotline.  This will be specifically geared towards young people of color and young people of color in the LGBTQ+ community.
The Unique Foundation Gambia Supporting the Most Vulnerable People Cope with COVID-19 Pandemic Gambia Support for families in the form of training on how to grow food in homes in small spaces and addressing food security among children and youth who may be homeless. 
Project Beanstalk/United Roots Typo Trauma California/United States

Typo Trauma is a video game meant to teach players what to do when their loved ones are suffering from stressful situations that cause anger, anxiety, and depression. In the game, players get to help a variety of characters including a wizard who is nervous about a job interview, and a werewolf who is afraid to come out as gay to his pack.  The game uses a dialogue based battle system that was carefully designed using the emotion color wheel, in order to show people things like:

-How powerfully their words & actions can affect others
-Different ways to communicate with people who are dealing with stressful situations
-How to manage their own mental and physical health through wellness resources like therapy, mentors, and healthy foods.

Asociacion Civil Voluntario Global Virtual Community Garden Experience Argentina Building a community that defends healthy food, security and food sovereignty by pivoting programming and teaching 40 families how to sow seeds from a communal perspective.  Focused on critical thinking and community building, the project includes seed distribution, virtual trainings and socially distanced home visits.

African Justice4Peace Association – AJA Donga Mantung – Cameroon Rehabilitation, training and skill development for young mothers to promote economic independence.
Gems of Madagascar Village of Ambalafeno – Madagascar A youth-led project to improve the lives of children in a small village of Madagascar through the furnishing of new classrooms built by the Colorado non-profit, Gems of Madagascar.
Le Flambeau Foundation, Inc. North Haiti This project aims to build multi-generational stakeholders in the reforestation of Haiti via education and the application of agricultural best practices – impacting 6,000 residents in Bouyaha, a small farming community in the North of Haiti.
Milwaukee Riverkeeper Milwaukee, Wisconsin

The creation of tool-kits for middle and high school students and teachers to support classroom and school-wide initiatives that work to reduce single-use plastics.  A collaborative of college students working on campus sustainability projects will also be established to promote the sharing of best practices and resources across campuses.

This project is funded by the Walsh family in loving memory of Patricia Colloton-Walsh. Patricia was a longtime Milwaukee educator and a dear friend of the McGinnity family.

Mukuru Clean Stoves Siaya, Kenya Training young women in western Kenya on the production of improved cookstoves resulting in employment as Mukuru Clean Stoves artisans.
Rural Environmental Sustainability Initiative Kampala, Uganda Installation of 5 bio gas systems in rural homes to act as clean cooking energy demonstration sites and points of adoption of clean cooking practices in rural homes.
Running Rebels Community Organization Milwaukee, Wisconsin Young people from Running Rebels will work with youth leaders to create and lead a campaign that highlights safe driving as a way to combat reckless driving in Milwaukee which has reached epidemic levels.
Solidaridad Internacional Kanda A. C. Oaxaca, Mexico Building support networks for violence prevention among girls and teenagers in the area surrounding the largest dumpsite in Oaxaca, Mexico through storytelling, reading and other activities.
Sunrise Movement Chicago Chicago, Illinois A youth-led movement to stop the climate crisis and create millions of good jobs in the process.  Through the People of Color Leadership Training, they hope to build the capacity of young leaders of color, to ensure that they are engaging and organizing everyone to address environmental and social justice issues.
Take a Step Women Assocation Hoima District, Uganda Improved clean energy project – supplying young people with inventory to start small scale enterprises.
